While just a click on the ads alongside an article fetches $ 15, an ad of another article has to get 100 clicks to get the same amount. Strike a balance between high paying keywords and high search volume because your aim is to choose such topics that a lot of people look for so that they attract good traffic.
Finally your article must be of quality. Your keywords may be strong and the quality of the article is bad, you will not get the expected response. Even if the quality of the article is good and the keywords are weak, it will take longer time to make the money you want. So you have to combine quality with keywords.
