My client needs a Technical Writer for a 4 month contract in Livingston, NJ. The Technical Writer position will be responsible for working with the assigned team(s) to organize and develop documentation such as technical manuals, guides, processes, audit results & follow-up, handbooks, help documentation, business requirements and other vital documentation as assigned in relation to the “Federal Reserve Readiness” Project or other business related needs. This individual will need to ensure that all documentation is organized and completed according to the business requirements of the assignment and contains all vital information necessary to be beneficial as a useful business document. Documentation will need to flow in an orderly process, be clear, concise and have a professional style with the appropriate terminology. This individual will also be responsible to verify that all documentation passes a quality check, meaning that the information does not have omitted requirements, typing errors, and is compliant with documentation standards of the corporation.
This individual should have the following skills:
• Ability to work alone or with a team of diverse individual
• Ability to work within strict time-frames and hard deadlines
• Ability to multitasking
• Possess Business Analyst skills to manipulate data and create reports to accompany documentation
• Understand the technical environments such as help desk, messaging, storage and/or desktop environments
• Possess solid time management skills
• Flexible working style meaning that the individual can change direction as the business needs change.
• Excellent writing skills
• Be self-directed
• Self-disciplined
• Background in IT
