SUMMARY:
The Technical Writer provides technical writing and documentation support to the Residual Software team. This position will develop technical and user documentation for the software developed by the team and maintain departmental practices and policies via the team web site. The person will represent the software department in various forums and it demands a dynamic and energetic personality with highest ethical standards, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and is respectful to all. Overtime may be needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop systems documentation to enable delivery teams to effectively maintain and enhance software products
Develop user guides, training materials and operations documentation to enable operations installation, upgrades and support
Establish documentation standards and practices
Maintain the Residuals intranet site
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years practical experience as a technical writer for software product documentation
Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of IT development and support methodologies, Services Oriented Architecture and database structures
Ability to express complex technical concepts in clear and concise terms in both technical and user friendly language
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
