Specialist Writer Jobs
A specialist writer is responsible for working on very specific areas in writing and providing expert advice on writing related matters. Typical duties of a specialist writer position include composing, editing and editing specific documents; preparing training modules for the use of writers; providing advice on very specific writing issues; answering inquiries from both inside and outside the organization; participating in training of writers; participating in formulation of best practices and procedures for the division; working on special writing projects; adhering to deadlines; ensuring client satisfaction; performing other tasks assigned by the writing manager. A specialist writer generally reports to a writing manager.
A specialist writer should have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area. Excellent writing and grammar skills are essential. Prior experience working as a specialist writer may be helpful.
