Writer Jobs
A writer opening may be available with a publishing company, editorial department, media agency, online marketing firm or an ITES company. A writer is responsible for writing articles to be published for company or clients’ products or websites. Specific duties of a writer include understanding the client requirements, studying the area on which the matter has to be produced, writing drafts on the subject, editing an proofreading drafts, approving the work of assistant writers, performing tasks on deadlines, coordinating with people from various departments, and performing other tasks assigned by the writing manager. A writer reports to a writing manager.
A writer should have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area. Excellent academic credentials and writing skills are necessary. Prior experience working as a writer may be advantageous. Strong proficiency with use of Microsoft Word is essential.
