Editor/Writer Jobs

An editor writer position may be available with a publisher, newspaper, magazine, IT company, or any other company that publishes written work. An editor writer is typically responsible for writing articles on the areas required by the department. Specific duties of an editor writer include collecting required information on the area, sorting out the information in order to associate different articles, making a draft, reworking on the draft to make it presentable, readable, attractive and error-free, reviewing and editing the article for eliminating grammatical, conceptual or ethical shortfalls, getting the articles approved and forwarding the work to the printing department and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. An editor writer typically reports to the chief editor.
An editor writer should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in journalism or mass communications. Excellent academic credentials are necessary. Excellent writing skills are a must.
