Copy Writer Jobs
A copywriter opening may be available with a publisher, editing department of a firm, online marketing agency or a media agency. A copywriter is responsible for writing, proofreading and editing copy brochures/print and other forms of documents; assisting in estimating production cost; overseeing work done by assistant writers; delivering quality print and web copy that are consistent with firm’s standards, working on assignments which may include a wide range of printed materials and online communications; overseeing the print production process to ensure design integrity and accuracy; and performing other tasks as required. A copywriter typically reports to a writing manager.
A copywriter should have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area. Excellent writing skills are essential. Prior experience working as a copywriter may be advantageous. A copy writer may also be referred to as a copy editor.
