Associate Writer Jobs
An associate writer position may be available with a media agency, an ITES company editorial of a publishing company, or an online marketing firm. An associate writer is responsible for writing on various areas under the guidance of a writer. Specific duties of an associate writer include gathering information on different, performing research on each area, preparing drafts on various topics, editing and proofreading various drafts prepared by self and others, coordinating with various departmental personnel, staying abreast with various rules and regulations in the area, working on several projects at a time, getting work approved by a writer, meeting project deadlines and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. An associate writer typically reports to a writing manager.
An associate writer should have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Prior experience working as an associate writer may be helpful. Excellent writing skills are essential for an associate writer position.
