Communications Writer Jobs
A communications writer position may be available with a marketing division, PR agency, HR department, a huge multi-national company, or communications department of a company. A communications writer is responsible for writing various documents for the communications department. Specific duties of a communications writer include writing all the outgoing written documents which are meant for public at large; writing strategic messages which are in line with firm’s values and business ethics; projecting the right image of the company’s products; projects and the company it self, ensuring that the communications being made are favorable to the success of the organization; participating in preparing all outgoing messages for maintaining marketing, public relations, investor relations, government relations or employee relations and performing other tasks assigned by the communications manager. A communications writer typically reports to a communications manager.
A communications writer should have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or mass communications. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Prior experience working as a communications writer may be advantageous.
