Engineer Writer Jobs

An engineer in a writing department is responsible for performing research work in the area of engineering, advising writers on conceptual areas, writing on engineering topics, helping in formulation of training documents for technical writers, providing technical support to the writing manager and the writers, working on third party projects, performing various tasks assigned by the technical manager, getting new projects in the area of engineering, preparing technical reports or databases in this area, making use of various writing tools, troubleshooting them and performing several other tasks as required. An engineer in a publishing or writing department typically reports to a technical manager.
An engineer should have a bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science, information technology or any other area of engineering. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Prior experience as an engineer working in a writing department may be helpful.
