Career in Writing Serves as Catharsis

Do you have a passion to write? And are keen on making a career in writing? Sure! Go Ahead! Writing is something that helps you in earning your bread and butter, but it has greater value if you look at its psychology.

Ever since my school days I had developed the practice of maintaining a personal dairy. I would make a note of every single talk, incident, or thought that passed by my mind as an observer, a third person watching my ownself. Even today I write down my thoughts, but the difference is that earlier I used a paper diary and now I use my computer. I would want to share my experience while writing. I could rescue myself from all problems; though lesser I had then. You can help yourself solve a problem without the help of anyone else, but yourself by writing or typing thoughts. Functioning on writing jobs, you will always be associated with either writing or typing.

It would be easier to understand by the example that I have. During my college days, I had a very bad experience that I would not like to share even with my closest friends. I was too depressed and would want to be more with myself, instead of socializing. At that point of time I found computer to be a good friend of mine. I can write anything I want, getting all the space that I need for my self. As I kept on typing my innermost thoughts, it used to release the pressure that had been created within me. As I moved forward typing I was going through the same state of anger, which I wanted to burst out, but did not. More the anger, faster was I typing throwing the anger out. Not harming anybody, here I felt catharsis within myself. You too you can be benefited in writer careers.



I would begin with narrating the events of the day. I would then list down all questions that arouse to my mind relating to the events of the day. Answering to these questions differently with all probabilities would be my next step. Typing my thoughts of both, pessimistic and optimistic perspective I would do a loud thinking. I would then read from start to finish and make a note of all solutions that flow through my head.

Through this practice, I could develop my own problem solving technique. Instead of just thinking about negative experiences and getting washed out at the end of the day, it is better to write or type down and release all your negative thoughts. As I grew older I did not feel the need for having a shoulder to cry for my problems. Jotting down ideas and getting connected to the happenings, is the best remedy to get out of the problem with an effective solution. Technique that has worked for me would certainly work for you too!

Get started and pick up writing jobs and make it your career. It will not only make a living, but be your best friend!
