MIM is currently seeking highly motivated professionals to join its Institutional Client Group (ICG) in a role dedicated to Request for Proposal (RFP) project management. The primary objective for this role is to support MIM’s global ICG team in its goal of raising assets by constructing persuasive and effective RFP proposals across MIM’s platform of investment offerings, including public fixed income, private capital and real estate debt and equity. The position requires a self-motivated, extremely organized and diligent professional who has prior experience drafting requests for proposals for institutional asset managers. In addition, the ideal candidate must be comfortable in actively collaborating with multiple departments across the organization, including senior investment professionals, portfolio specialists, sales and relationship management, operations, legal, and compliance. In addition to RFP project management, the ideal candidate may also be required to support the timely and accurate population of key institutional consultant databases on a quarterly basis, including but not limited to, eVestment, Mercer GIMD, Morningstar, Callan, Cambridge, etc.
Work within a small team of RFP writers to ensure that proposals are consistently completed to the highest possible standards and by the required proposal due dates
Manage the RFP process from A to Z – This includes leading RFP Kickoff calls with key subject matter experts, establishing project timelines, securing required sign-offs from Legal/Compliance and ensuring a professional and high quality bid is submitted on time.
Be comfortable in handling multiple RFPs/RFIs at the same time under tight deadlines
Keep abreast of changes within the firm, product and industry, ensuring changes are reflected in RFPs
Assist with the maintenance of our RFP database (Qvidian), including development and maintenance of investment product content
Develop the RFP team's profile with the investment, product management and sales teams; build relationships and develop strong knowledge of product management, marketing and sales initiatives.
Populate the Firm’s products to institutional consultant databases
Support Global ICG team on ad-hoc requests from prospects, clients and consultants
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Prior experience drafting RFPs specifically for institutional asset managers who offer public fixed, private capital or real estate investment strategies is essential
Experience in using Qvidian or a comparable RFP database tool as well as proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications
Prior experience populating firm and product information to institutional consultant databases and responding to tight deadlines
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
5 to 7 years of relevant experience
BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field
Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately
Experience using Salesforce CRM, TaskRay, eVestment Analytics and eVestment Market Lens
Minor travel between the Firm’s Whippany, NJ and Philadelphia, PA office may be required from time to time
