Proposal Writer \u00a0 SAFEbuilt is currently in search of an experienced, energetic, team-oriented Proposal Writer to join their team. This is a dynamic opportunity to join our growing company and work on a variety of challenging projects with an awesome team of professionals. This position reports to the Proposal Team Manager and works out of our Loveland, CO home office. This position will be temporary in nature, with a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to hire on regular full time as activity increases. \u00a0 Responsibilities: Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives\/outcomes\/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials. Writes proposal copy for proposal development and various proposal publications. Identifies potential issues in the project documents and requirements and follows up with assigned team members responsible for those task items.\u00a0 Prepares written text and coordinates layout and organization of narrative and graphics incorporated into business proposals, manuals and other proposal documents. Researches available proposal materials including service information, operational concepts, technical approaches, and equipment and test specifications in support of proposal development. Researches, develops and writes content for technical and management documents for proposals, contract specific manuals, system solutions or training collateral. Conceives graphic illustrations, charts, matrices, flow diagrams, and process flow charts for proposals that include requests for graphic artists, write captions and introduce figures in text. Advises managers of potential conflicts within scheduling or information provided in similar documents \/ process work flows. Provides support to internal company departments or business development teams. Performs other duties as assigned. \u00a0 Knowledge & Skills Strong written communication, basic presentation skills, with the ability to write technical documentation. Good problem-solving skills. Deadline-oriented with ability to coordinate and work well with team members. Must possess knowledge of the Municipality and Federal Acquisition process, and RFP sections and appendices. Must possess excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills when working with SMEs and technical leads. Maintains quality results by using templates, following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone, and maintaining proposal support databases. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word. Working knowledge of SharePoint administration and production processes highly desirable Working knowledge of various other software packages to include Visio, Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent computer and keyboarding skills General knowledge of Salesforce preferred Proficient in English language to apply rules of grammar and spelling. Additional knowledge\/skills may be required by contract or assignment. \u00a0 \u00a0 Experience & Education Bachelor\u2019s degree in an associated discipline preferred.
