Overview of Job Function:
This position is responsible for developing and producing proposals in support of Verintâ€™s business activities. Ensures on-time submittal of high-quality proposals fully responsive to prospectâ€™s requirements and internal Verint objectives. The Proposal Manager will work with regional, virtual-team project members, collecting inputs and preparation of the final proposal. The finished product is expected to be highly professional and representative of Verintâ€™s world-class products and services.
Additional responsibilities include developing and producing other proposal tools, documents and reports, and maintaining a proposal library.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities
Project manage virtual teams through proposal generation using documented RFP Process as guideline.
Plan, organize and coordinate the proposal development schedule.Lead proposal kick-off meetings.Schedule and lead response assignments, proposal reviews, production and delivery.
Source responses to questions from existing response databases and seek review and confirmation as needed.
Assign specific proposal items/sections to SMEs and Field Resources only when required.
Project Manage multiple proposal projects at a time, enforcing internal deadlines to meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with Legal, Marketing, Product Marketing and Product Management to source information and create response materials as needed
Collect feedback on all proposal wins/losses.
Manage the proposal database ensuring that boilerplate is accurate and contains the latest technical, product and corporate information.
Manage product, legal and security questionnaires.
Bachelorâ€™s degree or equivalent experience in technical/business writing or related field
At least 6 years general business experience with at least 3 years in proposal management role within a software environment
Prior experience in managing multiple projects successfully
Self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with senior management levels in the organization. Ability to direct and monitor the activities of others in performance of work requiring accuracy and detail.
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and manage activities with a range of priorities; ability to manage multiple projects successfully
Must be self-motivated and highly energetic
Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and word processing, word templates, desktop publishing and web application skills.
Must possess proofreading and editing skills and have the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF knowledge
Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
Strong leadership and consensus building skills
RFP proposal generation in the Workforce Optimization or Call Center industry
Experience with Managing Public Sector Proposals
Proven track record in producing winning proposals for software contracts
Experience with proposal processes and knowledge of Shipley proposal methodology
Experience working on small and large complex proposals for a software company.
Additional language fluency (Spanish, Portuguese, French)
