Summary of Position
We are looking for self-motivated individuals with automotive mechanical experience and ASE certifications, combined with significant computer knowledge, to analyze repair and collision data via our software suite. This person will possess expert level understanding of modern diesel, electric, gasoline and hybrid vehicles, while being able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. The ability to leverage technology to enable publication of automotive content into ALLDATA’s® market leading products is required.
Leverage technology to augment, place, edit and publish automotive content to ALLDATA’s® suite of automotive information products.
Analyze processes and propose improvements in accuracy, consistency and efficiency
Create, follow, review and update process documentation.
When required, coordinate with manufacturer to update programs and processes.
Use various editorial software programs to process and enrich content.
Perform detailed quality control and process improvement gate checks.
Research and answer technical questions related to automotive systems and ALLDATA products.
Facilitate and participate in meetings as required.
Assist internal and external customers as needed, to provide outstanding customer service.
Participate in software testing and other special projects or assignments as needed.
Lead by example and think outside of the box.
Think creatively to provide solutions to difficult problems.
Strong knowledge of using Windows 7-10 and Office 2010-2016.
Expert level understanding of modern vehicles, including powertrain management, collision and repair procedures.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly with good retention of prior information.
Two or more years of experience as an automotive technician, service advisor, service manager or shop owner.
Ideally possesses five or more current ASE certifications and/or other technical certifications.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while being able to prioritize and multi-task.
Possesses good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast paced, quickly changing environment.
Results orientated, while demonstrating a strong sense accountability and motivation.
Demonstrates reliability, a great attitude and a willingness to put the customer, first!
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
Preferably attended and graduated from an accredited automotive technical school.
Higher level education, including associates or higher level degree, is highly preferable.
