Healthcare / Medical Content Writer
We are partnered with a fast growth, well-funded consumer healthcare e-commerce startup to help them identify a Medical Content Writer focused on consumer health to help them develop both on-site medical as well as marketing content.
We’re looking for an exceptional writer with an eye for detail to craft concise, accurate, and meaningful content for our users. If you’re passionate about creating great user experiences, we’d love to have you join our team. This role will help support the development of content for product descriptions, and FAQ’s. Additionally, our most exciting opportunity that you will help us drive involves delivering data driven tailored content delivered to customers based on individual healthcare test results.
You love to write! Putting words into their proper place is your passion. Like any great writer, you are a keen listener and observer. Like any great research writer, have a knack for distilling complex concepts into simple, consumer-friendly language. You also have the ability to conform to the demands of a regulatory environment without sacrificing the quality of your content (or losing your mind).
What you’ll do
Research medical topics and write web (product descriptions and tailored lab results) and marketing content for that is accurate, clear, and appeals to a broad audience.
Work closely with product manager, designers, healthcare experts and other team members to ensure that content is of the highest quality in terms of accuracy, clarity, readability, and appeal.
Create and maintain an editorial style guide for medical content.
Keep current on regulatory requirements and industry practices that may affect medical content.
Edit content for adherence to organization and style guidelines.
5 years of medical/health writing experience. Medical background would be helpful but not required.
Experience writing blogs, and consumer facing health / wellness content. (WebMD, MayoClinic, etc)
English, Journalism, Communications, or a Medical/Healthcare background
Please note: This is a full time, direct onsite position that will be based in our downtown Austin office
Big bonus points for:
