Senior Technical Writer
The ideal candidate is a Senior Technical Writer with over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. This candidate is looking for a challenge in a technical environment and the opportunity to influence the product development cycle. The successful candidate will possess the skills required to work in an Agile environment and to author content in XML. Skill and experience with Adobe FrameMaker would be considered an asset. The position requires that the candidate work onsite in Boxborough, MA and have the flexibility to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams under tight deadlines. Responsibilities Author content in multiple documents and meet delivery schedules in a dynamic environment
Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to share information and ensure technical and visual consistency across multiple document suites
Initiate reviews of authored content and respond in a timely manner with corrections
Prepare and deliver documentation deliverables that adhere to specific quality standards
Required Skill Set
Excellent writing in American English
Customer-oriented approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in XML, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office suite of products; experience with Adobe FrameMaker would be an asset
Experience developing content in an Agile environment and working in short sprints
Possesses a strong technical background in telecommunications and data networking
Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive timelines
Ability to lead and mentor others
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams
Understands highly technical content
Ability to simplify highly complex topics
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to determine and mitigate risk and advise Project Manager of same
Ability to work onsite in Boxborough, MA
