This Entry/Junior-level position is responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing Manager in setting up and launching the best possible digital marketing and brand awareness programs.  You will also be using solid copy editing skills (married with a basic grasp of SEO fundamentals) and very light HTML/CSS skills (which we can teach you!) as you upload, update and maintain numerous ecommerce and content website pages.

You will support several departments/groups (eBusiness, Marketing, Events, PR, etc.) by performing tasks and completing site-content publication projects in accordance with the Digital Marketing Calendar and on an as-needed basis.  Collaborate with co-workers in other departments (Marketing, Sales, International, Public Relations and Creative Services) to maintain consistency with branding and other Intellectual Property.  

Also Great to Have:

Familiarity with Google Analytics, HTML/HTML5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS and CSS3), UI/UX and usability testing.


 Entry/Junior-level position responsible for supporting the Digital Marketing Manager by performing tasks related to creation and tracking of digital marketing initiatives.  Collects, uploads and maintains content (images and copy) for numerous ecommerce and content website pages in support of domestic and international branding, marketing and promotions.


This position pays within a range of $15.00 - $19.00 an hour based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Supports the Digital Marketing Manager (DMM) by coordinating and tracking on- and off-site promotions, performing basic image manipulation/optimization in Adobe Photoshop for website graphics files (product images, logos, banners, etc.), assisting with conversion testing and more.  Ensures digital marketing campaign creation, reporting and updates in accordance with the Digital Marketing Calendar.

Under the direction of the DMM, assists with marketing email creation by building, reviewing/testing and deploying responsive-design emails according to the Digital Marketing Calendar and as needed, using assets provided by Creative Services.  Writes effective email subject lines and marketing copy to increase open and click-through rates.

Assists the DMM with management of site metadata (product keywords, site tags, etc.) to optimize for SEO value.  In collaboration with Public Relations, writes product and brand copy to increase site SEO relevance and drive high-value traffic and conversions.  Performs regular website reviews to ensure SEO value, accuracy, timeliness and relevance of on-site copy.

Performs upload and publication tasks to update website digital assets (images and copy). Tracks and follows up on requests to ensure timely completion.  Coordinates with other departments (Creative Services, Marketing, Sales, International and Public Relations) to gather, upload and publish all necessary digital assets.  

Website update projects may require light HTML/HTML5 and CSS knowledge.  All code-based work will be performed as directed by the Senior Front End Developer.

Collaborates with Legal, Creative Services, Marketing, Sales, International and Public Relations to maintain consistency with branding, trade dress (trademarks) and other intellectual property.

Computer Skills     

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced user-level knowledge of ecommerce websites and relevant technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), light HTML/HTML5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS/CSS3) skills, and basic knowledge of graphic tools such as Adobe Photoshop.

Familiarity with the following is preferred, but not essential: common web debugging services (i.e. FireBug), browser development consoles, UI/UX development, and website template development.

Exposure to any of the following is helpful but not required: Google Analytics and CMS systems.

Language Skills  

Above-average writing, editing and proofreading skills are required, especially with respect to writing copy specifically for SEO, marketing, branding and promotion.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills 

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, accept/provide constructive feedback is essential. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Continual self-development of skills and knowledge related to current technology.
