Aetna is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to support the dynamic Office of the Chief Marketing Officer. This role will support a range of internal and external communications programs, crafting company news stories, organizational announcements, and external thought leadership content for the Marketing organization.
The Senior Communications Manager will write a range of content to tell the Aetna Marketing story, including newsletters, organizational announcements, intranet content, external speaking proposals and presentations. He or she will partner with all levels across Aetna Marketing to develop inspiring, informative, and engaging communications that support the Aetna brand and mission.
Requires 5-7 years of experience in at least one communication discipline and 1-3 years of experience in one of several sub-disciplines (may include media/public relations, internal/executive communications, public affairs, and marketing or community relations).
Experience developing and executing successful communication programs at the enterprise level or for major business organizations.
Track record of proactively identifying and pursuing relevant opportunities that resulted in increased audience awareness and understanding of the core message(s).
Experience in writing and editing all kinds of communication on short notice and as part of long-term initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with other communication professionals toward a common goal.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
