Job Description We are looking for subject matter experts in a wide variety of technology fields who enjoy developing ways to explain technical concepts so that everyone can understand and apply them making complex topics easy to understand at both basic and advanced levels. Our Technical Writers take it one step further than explaining the concepts they also develop hands-on technical skills in partnership with our engineering development team. Essential Functions of a Technical Writer: Write curriculum to explain technical concepts at both basic and advanced levels. Craft detailed frame works about what the content should be for the learning system. Develop illustration ideas that augment text for better understanding. Research key skills that are current in the industry. Partner with the engineering team to develop hands-on technical skills. Requirements for the Technical Writer: 4 year engineering degree; master's degree preferred. 5 years of experience in a position associated with an area of technical expertise (ex: automation, electronics, controls, etc.). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong analytical reasoning abilities. Excellent research skills. Technological industrial experience. Live in or near Louisville metro area.
