We are seeking a Senior Director (Food & Consumer Expert) based in our New York office to join our global team.\u00A0The\u00A0Senior Director has the primary responsibility for managing an identified client globally, including senior-client relationship building and counseling, account planning, overall quality of work and service delivery and financial oversight. The position has responsibility for delivering the highest level of service across disciplines and geographies, improving overall client satisfaction and driving increased revenue and profitability. In addition, the Senior Director shows demonstrated major account planning, business development, financial management and leadership skills.\u00A0Candidate must have a proven track record of running large-scale consumer and corporate accounts. Understanding the intersection of corporate and brand reputation with consumer activations is essential.\u00A0 We are looking for an idea-generator and creative thinker that drives results.\u00A0Responsibilities Create strategies and programs that create brand affinity for well-known consumer brandsGenerate creative campaigns that deliver substantial media outcomesLead staff to grow revenue on key accountDevelop a deep understanding of the client\u2019s business and stays informed of issues that may impact the client beyond the scope of the project engagementDrive overall client satisfaction to expand client engagement and increase likelihood of retentionPrepare an annual strategic plan for assigned global client with metrics, interfacing as appropriate with geographies and practicesProvide overall financial management of the global client, including budgeting, billing, revenue projections, profitability staff utilization on key accounts and receivablesActively engage in the business planning process and communicate resourcing commitments and needs to Managing Directors and geography leadersWork with the local managers, determine staffing requirements, contribute to the evaluation of performance of client account staff; develop succession plans and recruit new talent as necessaryIdentify and lead or coordinate new business opportunities within the client organizationProactively work with the APCO network to build relationships to enhance efficiencies and productivity for assigned accountProactively engage APCO leadership to support account development and growth and innovationQualificationsAt least 15 years of relevant experience including experience managing major accounts. Agency experience strongly preferredBachelor\u2019s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications or related field required. Advanced degree preferredStrong knowledge of consumer products and food industriesProven track record of managing and growing client accountsDeep knowledge of best practices in client management and experience increasing team knowledge of client organizationsDemonstrated experience building, managing, and motivating high-performing teamsExperience managing business strategy and plans to drive growthOutstanding written and verbal communications skills including the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines\u00A0APCO Worldwide is a global communication consultancy.
