The Health Products and Solutions Operation currently has an opening for a technical writer to support a large healthcare contract.
The Technical Writer position is available to support competitive bids for new business and potentially support several VDC programs. Primary responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the technical engineers on developing technical and management write ups for bid proposals.
Develop and incorporate document content with input from engineers and designers.
Develop document structures and outlines that are compliant with CMS customer and Leidos templates and standards.
Manage document revision levels.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree coupled with 2 technical writing experience.
Experience in technical writing and documentation of engineering designs, operation manuals, and/or technical manuals.
Experience in technical writing in the field of IT.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance with the customer.
Ability to conduct interviews with subject matter experts and create technical writing documentation based on the interview.
Prepare instruction manuals, procedures/processes, and bid proposals (technical and management approach).
Experience in tech writing in the field of healthcare/clinical systems.
Edits publications including reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, procedures, and related materials.
