Customs Entry Writer

OEC Group is currently looking for candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage focusing on classifying and transmitting entries through U.S. Customs.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of US Customs and other government agency regulations.

About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Prepares customs entries for ocean and air import shipments to be submitted and released by U.S. Customs in a timely manner.
Ensures that all entries are properly classified and entered into FreightStream by utilizing tools such as client HTS lists.
Creates invoices for duty and entry charges to be processed for billing purposes.
Creates and maintains customer profiles with up to date shipment history. based on the customer's shipment history. Coordinates with customers to classify new commodities per according to HTS codes.
Addresses any Customs Brokerage related inquiries both internally and externally.
Renton Office 8:30 am – 5:00 pm PST

Education & Experience:
Associates degree and three to five years of related experience.
Knowledge of Cargowise is a plus.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
