Profile

This position requires 5-7 years’ experience writing/editing aircraft and/or commodity TOs. This includes editing, design, layout, composition, and production of TOs. Individuals must have a thorough working knowledge of governing military specifications for all of the different styles of technical manuals. Individual must have a good work ethic. Individual must have a favorable security clearance.

· Develop task processes and procedures based on written interactions with system engineers. · Basic Computer Skills w/ MS Office Products. Mandatory:
· This position requires 5-7 years’ experience writing aircraft/commodity technical manuals in compliance with Technical Manual Contract Requirements (TMCR) and military specifications. · Knowledgeable of MIL-PRF-83495, MIL-PRF-38784, MIL-PRF-38804, MIL-PRF-38807 and MIL-DTL-77000F specifications. · Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft, commodity, flight manuals, TCTOs, safety and operational supplements. · Be able to give detailed instructions to editors, illustrators, TOMAs, Engineers and Equipment Specialist. · Must have very good writing and oral communication skills. Desirable:
· Knowledge and understanding of SGML/XML tagging structure. · Experience with the ATOS Editing system. · Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro · Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and illustration parts breakdown (IPB) technical orders is required. · Must be able to multi-task and use daily time management skills.
