Work you'll do

As a Pursuit Manager/Proposal Writer, you'll use your writing skills and experience to:

Support priority bid opportunities for business pursuits at Deloitte Consulting

Write executive summaries and pursuit materials that articulate our strategic messaging in a compelling and persuasive manner

Capture, shape, and synthesize information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice

Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, and grammatically correct content

Demonstrate a finely-tuned ability to sift through a discussion, extracting the most significant information and action items

Engage with pursuit teams strategically, posing questions that encourage a team to consider all aspects of the client's position, and draw out essential messaging

Collaborate with graphic designers, project managers, pursuit coaches, and client service teams to build creative and innovative material

Prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, at times traveling to work onsite with teams

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, liberal arts, or related disciplines

8 years of relevant experience

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

A quasi-journalistic ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge and make it clear

Strong executive presence

Agility and speed in executing strong writing

Intellectual curiosity and ability to get smart quick on a variety of topics

Ability to prioritize within a fast-paced, challenging, deadline-driven environment

Exceptional project management skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time

Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ 89,820 to $ 195,215 .
