LILLY offers logistics customers something different than an average international freight forwarder and takes the time to get to know their customer's operation on a micro level to find any missed opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings.

The company has found a true value-added service for customers dubbed foreign to foreign market. LILLY has revolutionized company's supply chains by shipping directly from a company's foreign supplier or manufacturer, eliminating the holds and fees from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and almost half of shipping costs, direct to the company's end user in another foreign country. For example, a company that used to import to the U.S. only to ship to another country can now, with the help of LILLY, ship directly from the factory to the end user without exposing each contact to another.

General Purpose of the Position:

The Entry Writer is responsible preparing, compiling and managing all documentation and records required to clear goods through the United States Customs including negotiating with, retaining and service as airlines, shipping companies, trucking companies, shippers, consignees, bonded and other warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Independently perform different types of entries from start to finish in timely manner.

Ability to deal with and complete heavy entry volume on a daily basis.

Carefully monitor/track the entry status, assist Customs Hold/Examination at any Port, and rectify the problem if it occurs.

Must perform daily ISF filings.

Respond immediately to any internal/external customers and/or address the issue to the manager if necessary.

Review documents to check for accuracy, including; piece count, the invoice matches the provided packing list and to ensure that they comply with the necessary customs regulations.

Create invoices for duty and entry charges to be sent to the billing department.

Stores files, or enters information into system with appropriate file number, brief information, voyage information and shipment date.

Develop and maintain customer profiles based on the customer's shipment history.

Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, CargoWise a plus.

Education and Experience Required:

HS Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of Custom Entry Writing experience.
