PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for proofreading all content generated by the production and digital design group. Assures the following: Accuracy against the original approved copy Proper grammar and spelling Reviews any variances from conventional treatments on typographic style Correct size and type specifications Correct placement of copy on layout Proper use of trademarks Verifies proper coupon codes, expiration dates, ingredient statements and legal mandatories are used. Applies current Federal Trade Commission packaging requirements with regard to type and symbols. Makes sure all documents are current with industry and legal standards. Requires capable communication and good judgement when interacting throughout the organization. Perform all other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bacheloru2019s Degree from an accredited institution strongly preferred. Degree in English or Journalism preferred. Experience (Years/Type): 2 or more years of professional experience in proofreading, copywriting, or editing creative content. Experience within an advertising/marketing agency or similar environment preferred. Experience working with a grocery/mass merchandise retailer preferred.
