Job Description Position Summary \u00a0The Digital Content Manager is responsible for overseeing the packaging, storing, distribution and tracking required to manage the millions of eBook and audiobook products handled by Baker & Taylor. This position is responsible for the timely delivery of eBook and audiobook content to our customers in the formats they require while protecting the content in a manner that meets supplier's specifications. The successful Digital Content Manger will improve upon existing processes in order to establish a low maintenance, cost effective and scalable solution that meets current requirements with an eye to future needs. This position will be responsible for regular reporting of content availability and meeting established SLAs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Management): Develop and manage processes and procedures to ensure all eBook and audiobook content delivered by providers is available for distribution to users Work with third party eBook and audiobook content conversion houses to develop cost effective relationships in preparing select eBook and audiobook content for B&T distribution Work with QA staff to resolve conversion eBook and audiobook content quality issues Work with sales group to ensure all eBook and audiobook content is available to B&T's eBook and audiobook customers in a timely manner Keep current on latest software and hardware needs and trends making recommendations as needed Develops technical specifications and documentation Participates in the evaluation of hardware and software including cloud based solutions like Microsoft Azure Performs other related duties as assigned Job Requirements Qualifications Must have 1-3 years' experience in programming, development, or similar IT field. Experience with SQL Server, C#, VBA, Excel Macros and\/or Access. Experience with cloud-based software, particularly Azure, and migration experience a plus. Must be able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and speak effectively to customers and other B&T employees BS\/BA required, or some college and applicable experience may be considered.
