Web Content Specialist

Profile

This position develops and designs interface, front pages, and the tools to navigate on the website. Reviews specifications and provides time estimates on the development of projects and features, prioritizing projects and deliverables. The web content specialist is responsible for creating and/or acquiring content for websites, email newsletters, and other online communications.
Responsibilities:
-Develop, design and update web content; layout, text and images
-Convert audio and video files
-Edit images utilizing various types of applications
-Clear and effective web content writing and editing, this includes internet/intranet content, news, documents/images and email communication
-Manage the project and communicate with managers/client, departments, developers and designers to match with web capabilities
-Ensure new site is quickly integrated and is easy for users to understand and navigate
-Manage all sections of website to ensure content complies with legal and branding regulations
-Run analytic reports and monitor SEO & quality performance
-May require support on and off normal scheduled shifts (troubleshooting, updates, fixes, and project support)

-Proactive with effective time management skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and keep key players informed
-Thinks strategically and inspires others think outside the box
-Strong sense of urgency, high detail orientated and adept at multitasking
-Familiarity with web usability methodology content and/or enterprise management systems
-Proficiency in the Microsoft Office with a focus on strong Word and Excel skills
-Candidates must have strong web content writing and project management experience
-Knowledge of the following or equivalent application may be required; HTML, JAVA, CSS, CMS, Microsoft Office, Light ASP/.NET, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates required and completion in Web Technologies and Design Certificate Program or equivalent education and related work experience
-Minimum of 1 to 2 years web content writing experience
-Willing to obtain web usability certification
-Must be able to provide excellent Web Content Writing samples demonstrating strong ability to draw, capture and maintain an audience's attention
