Senior Technical Writer, National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC)','2011856','!*!We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to be a member of our dynamic team as a Technical Writer. You will generate a variety of documents, helping NREC expand its presence in commercial and government markets. Your writing will help NREC to acquire, execute, and deliver projects. You will work with technical and business development leadership to write proposal and marketing content (e.g. news stories, web pages, etc.) to help bring in new projects. Take control of your career!Your primary responsibilities will include:Collaborate with technical and business development experts to generate proposals for new projectsCoordinate with internal and external collaborators to write statements-of-work, project updates, and reportsInterface with senior technical management to develop documentation (e.g. user manuals, interface documentation, etc.)Engage with business development to develop marketing materials including news stories, press releases, and content for the websiteEdit and write other technical documents as requestedCommunicate progress and participate in reviews with technical staffQualifications:Bachelor's degree5 years experience in technical writing, including technical proposal writingStrong collaboration skillsAble to work independently under uncertaintyDemonstrate writing abilities in marketing to help promote the NREC brand via content generationAble(Ability) to lead, organize and bring to fruition projects from start to finishProficient with common Microsoft Office productsWe want to hear from you if you have experience or qualifications in ANY of the following areas:Graduate degree in technical writing or related disciplinesTechnical writing in universities or other research organizationsTechnical writing for software documentationTechnical writing for proposals in response to solicitations from the U.S. government (e.g. BAA, RFP, RFA, etc.)Writing for marketing (e.g. press release, news story, website content)Education in engineering, science, or technologyProficient with a prevalent document software suite such as Adobe productsAre you passionate about this dynamic opportunity?
