Summary
The Grant Writer position is responsible for developing proposals and grant applications for new opportunities. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and develop funding prospects to support existing and new program opportunities. The position will be responsible for the development, writing, and submission of grant applications and proposals. Additionally, the position will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on funded programs. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be committed to Close Up’s mission to help young people become active and engaged citizens.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university;
At least 3 years of successful grant writing experience;
Excellent ability to communicate with diverse constituencies;
Willingness and ability to work collaboratively and professionally;
Willingness and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team;
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills;
Must possess strong organizational skills and flexibility; ability to adapt in fast paced, changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous grant writing experience in the area of education.
This is a full-time, full-year, exempt position.
