Description The Technical Writer within the Service Information group will coordinate with various requestors to gather necessary input needed to edit\/create parts and service information for America Honda's parts catalog and service information websites. The information is intended for parts department and service technicians at dealers (U.S., Latin America, Mexico) and the independent repair facilities (U.S. market). The writer will do necessary research, validation, and writing as well as coordinating with other groups inside & outside the department to get necessary artwork created and the information indexed\/posted to the website by the agreed upon due date. This position will also contribute to projects related to improving the parts and service information as well as how they are indexed and searched within the websites. Responsibilities: Parts information and Technical Service Bulletins: Research, validate, write, and coordinate the illustration and production of usable, accurate parts information and technical service bulletins Service Manual Reviews: Review, validate, and write as necessary the service manual drafts. Review the electronic service manual files after they are loaded to American Honda's service information website to ensure they can be easily located by technicians and other users Other publications: Research, validate, write, and coordinate the illustration and production of usable, accurate non-bulletin service information that the Service information group is responsible for (Job Aids, ServiceNews, Accessory installation instructions, etc). Additionally, helping to research and develop an indexing process to make the group's various publications available to new models as they are released. Qualifications BA\/BS Degree or equivalent work experience as a Technical Writer\/Copy Editor or working in the Automotive Repair Industry Three or more years technical writing or automotive technical experience Some experience managing multiple projects and deadlines Understanding of automotive repair and general dealership service policies - Honda\/Acura specific preferred Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Proficient computer skills Content creation a plus, with experience in component management an additional plus American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor.
