Senior Software Technical Writer. Our client located in Tucson, Arizona has a 7 month contract for a Senior Software Technical writer. The Technical Writer will work on a cross functional team to create and update product (functional, technical, and detailed design) documentation. He or she facilitates the translation of business needs to technical documentation, and provides product development, design, and marketing documentation support.\r \rESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\r\r Assists in completion of project deliverables\r Deliverables may include written or visual product/process documentation, technical documentation and illustrations, and trainings (both internal and external).\r Works to provide consistent messaging and content alignment to the proposed solution.\r Delivers quality functional and technical application designs and ensures technology solutions represent the business requirements.\r Supports cross-team communication and collaboration\r Helps team in working sessions to clarify deliverables and ensures documents are updated. \r Participates in transitioning the requirements throughout the delivery process.\r This includes transitioning requirements and use cases to the designers, and ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.\r Additionally, the technical writer assists to ensure use case requirements are translated into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, integration, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing.\r Tracks deliverable updates\r Assists in the management and updates of key project documents.\r Tracks changes and ensures documents adhere to quality standards and has thorough knowledge of revision control.\r Facilitates design reviews\r Conducts design review meetings and documents results.\r Follows up with stakeholders to ensure action items are completed and documents are updated.\r Works to support general delivery needs\r Contributes in the general delivery needs to meet project timeline, such as assisting project management and testing teams.\r Supports the management of project interdependencies to ensure successful delivery.\r Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality\r Knowledge of source control systems, preferably Team Foundation Server / Visual Studio.\r Knowledge of SDLC documentation deliverables for medical device development (FDA regulated industry).\r Ability to quickly comprehend complex technical detail and communicate to other non-technical functions.\r Ability to work across the organization, with a high degree of interaction, to confirm that software documentation is complete and consistent with work products from other engineering disciplines.\r
\r Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or business administration or other related technical field required. Master's degree preferred.\r Minimum of 8 years direct documentation experience in medical device, software, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry. \r Knowledge of current US and International regulations as it pertains to documentation (e.g., FDA, ISO, IVDD and 21 CFR 11), and control of electronic records.\r Demonstrable record of working on project teams while working on multiple projects.\r Prefer experience with international regulatory requirements\r
