Advisor / Writer Jobs description
An advisor writer is responsible for working on specific areas in writing and providing expert advice on writing related matters that demand expert knowledge. Typical duties of an advisor writer position include preparing training material for the use of trainee and junior writers; providing advice on very specific writing issues; answering inquiries from both inside and outside the organization; participating in training of writers; participating in formulation of best practices and procedures for the division; composing, editing and editing specific documents; resolving functional conflicts in the area of writing; working on special writing projects; adhering to deadlines while writing the documents; ensuring client satisfaction; performing other tasks as assigned by the writing manager. An advisor writer generally reports to a writing manager.An advisor writer should have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area. Excellent writing and grammar skills are essential. Prior experience working as a advisor writer may be helpful.
