Coordinator Jobs description

A writing coordinator position may be available with an editorial department, media agency, or writing department of a company. A writing coordinator is responsible for handling administrative tasks with heavy coordination workload. Specific duties of a writing coordinator include assisting the writing managers, performing data entry, coordinating with writers and managers for approval of articles, arranging conferences and travel schedules for the department, answering incoming inquiries, maintaining a departmental library, taking care of departmental stationery, checking and replying to emails, providing writers and editors with necessary administrative assistance, maintaining a professional demeanor and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. A writing coordinator typically reports to a writing manager.

A writing coordinator should have a high school diploma or an associate’ degree. Excellent administrative skills and multi-tasking ability are essential. Prior experience working as a writing coordinator may be advantageous.
